Zinc anodes should not be used in alkaline environments (with a pH higher than 9.2) and in acidic environments (with a pH lower than 5) and at a temperature higher than 60 degrees Celsius.

Usually, a copper cable with a section of 10 mm2 or 16 mm2 is used for connection, and the copper cable is welded to a steel insert inside the electrode. The junction of copper cable and steel rod is covered with epoxy resin.
